Lets call this a thread #AlevelResults #alevels2020 - (1)
If you work in a private/public school, then I hope your kids got the grades they needed to succeed. You've worked hard, as they have, to get them.
(2) If you work in a state school, in a leafy suburb where the kids have access to tutors, then I hope your kids got the grades they needed to succeed. You've worked hard, as they have, to get them.
(3) If you work in a state school, in the City where the kids have access to tutors, then I hope your kids got the grades they needed to succeed. You've worked hard, as they have, to get them.
(4) If you work in the toughest state school in your region where the kids worry about gangs on the streets, then I hope your kids got the grades they needed to succeed. You've worked hard, as they have, to get them.
(5) If you work in a grammar school, where the kids all have tutors, and were selected at 11, then I hope your kids got the grades they needed to succeed. You've worked hard, as they have, to get them.
(6) Why? Because the teachers, leaders, governors and most of all the students all work hard for their successes in life.

To some they *really* will be life changing. To others, they are an expectation placed on them by family. But no matter what these kids deserve every chance
(7) I've worked with people who send their kids to private school, & went there themselves. Not once have they looked down on me, the scumbag from the council estate. Hell, some even made sure I had work through Uni so I could achieve the dream.
(8) I went to a grammar school. My son is sitting his 11+ in October. Why? Because it's the system we have to work with. If I had the money, I would send my kids to private school to give them every advantage I didn't get growing up.
