USPS THREAD:
I work in sales for a company that ships products throughout the United States using UPS and USPS.
Part of my job is tracking packages and telling customer where they are/when they can expect them. I track dozens of packages a day.
We formerly quoted 5-7 business days for regular delivery. Regular delivery is normal sent out through USPS provided no extenuating circumstances. This was before COVID.
Now we quote 7-10 business days.
I should mention, my company sells flatware and homegoods. Not urgent things. It's not prescriptions or voting ballots.

Packages are stuck. Just stuck. At USPS facilities. They stay there for days. I've seen packages sit at a USPS location for 10+ business days before moving.
I have to tell customers, "The postal service is very short-staffed right now due to covid and such, your package is on its way but delayed."

It would be inappropriate to bring up politics during my job for obvious reasons (see: customer service).
Trump has admitted that he is screwing up funding to the postal service in order to destroy mail-in voting.

He is also putting people's lives and health at risk as many Americans receive prescriptions by mail.
Those in rural communities do not have access to other resources for shipping/receiving mail. Private companies like UPS and FEDEX can and do refuse service to certain parts of the country.

USPS does not.
The complete wreckage of USPS does not only screw up mail-in voting: the safest way to vote by far. However, it is effecting people's health, daily lives and the economy.

Mail is not getting places.
The President of the United States is not only rigging the election by dismantling an essential public service, he is also putting lives and the economy in greater turmoil than they were already in.
I know everyone has said this, but I've yet to see a take from someone to tracks the packages every damn day.
Packages are not being scanned for tracking. They're sitting at post offices for days on end.
"Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds" - The unofficial motto of a USPS worker.

Systematic defunding of the entire mail service however...

They need some help to overcome this one.
