This is very much needed, but would only be possible if gov did a few things they’ll never do...

1. Guarantee full pay for anyone who can’t work for that 6-8 week period.

2. Cover business rent/expenses for those 6-8 weeks.

... and then they would also need to account for differences in what “isolating at home” for 6-8 weeks means to different people.

Eg. Getting paid to stay home is ace if you have a huge yard and a pool. Not so much if you’re in a small apartment with no private outdoor space.
