When we talk about women empowerment, Indirectly we institutionalise the thing in their minds that they are unempowered. Is it not a good idea to manifest the fact that, How Indian woman had empowered this nation? They need an Enlightment of their own power than an Empowerment!
Today Is death anniversary of Ahilyabai Holkar. But I don't know how many Indian woman even heard her name!! Knowing your roots is the first step to wisdom. May this great soul inspire every indian woman out there. Remember empowerment needed for weaker one and you are not weak.

Rani Abbakka Chowta a fearless Jain queen of ullal.
Only person in history to defeat mighty Portuguese for over 4 decades & defend our motherland.
She was known as the "Abhaya Rani" ,for her fearlessness & is considered the first Indian woman freedom fighter against European colonialism. Rani abbakka belonged to the chowta dynasty which ruled over a fertile part of coastal canara called ullal.
