In this thread, I'm going to detail how I would reveal the price, release dates and new games for both Next Gen consoles over the next 30 days. This is just my opinion and I have zero knowledge of what is coming. First up? Xbox.
If I were Xbox, I would spend the next 3 weeks specifically releasing blog posts and videos highlighting the following running on the actual system.

Show plenty of comparisons in videos and highlight things like load times, draw in etc.

2. Power of GPU/CPU
Show video's of FPS comparisons, resolution comparisons, texture quality comparisons between current and next gen games. Highlight 3P partner games like AC, CP2077 and Watch Dogs.
3. Ray Tracing
Blowout videos showing just how amazing RT games can be

4. Compatibility
Videos of the improvements that BC now includes. Specifically show the differences in video form. Show what the HDR system level implementation can do. Sneak peak at more BC games coming from OG Xbox and 360.

After all of this is shown, have an event recapping these points showing new examples. Announce a few new games and partnerships. Highlight Gamepass again. Then announce a very aggressive Price for Series X and include the All-Access installment program with a low monthly payment
Then go into a "We know many of you out there want to play games with many of these enhancements, but with the current state of the economy, the Series X may be out of reach" Then reveal Lockhart.

Now for PS5. Their approach is Vastly different from Xbox. They are all in when it comes to Full and Timed Exclusivity.
I'd like to see them do a similar approach showing off specific videos of the features of the Box.

Sony's BC program is still not completely clear and I want to see in practice if there are any improvements when playing PS4 games in the new box.

I know there are still many announcements of 3P Timed and Full exclusives coming. I'd like to see them really show us why they can only be done on PS5. Show me some examples of game design aspects, graphics etc

After all of this, Sony should have an event which will include new game announcements and deals. More about what will be at launch and what's to come.

Reveal the Price and date for both the Disc and Digital Consoles and maybe a one more thing.
For both, I think they need to sell us on why it's necessary to own the systems right now. We have lots of nebulous jargin & tech speak with very little actual looks of the tech in practice. After we see that, then I think it's a good idea to reveal the dates and price. Thoughts?
