Me, watching the discourse blame SAHM trapped in patriarchal systems. āBlame the women for operating imperfectly in a system designed to subjugate themā isnāt a NEW rhetorical device, but the consistency is comforting!
The responses to the original tweet are exactly what Iād expect! Itās fine to disparage women as long as they are religious and have many children and donāt have a traditional career.
Iāve said it before and Iāll say it again. We donāt know how many of these women have: unsafe homes, children with severe learning differences, chronic depression, or are just so stretched they cannot see to tomorrow. Want to get mad? Go after the people in power. My god.
