Also, it fundamentally misses the point of why people were upset. It's not that people thought that JT Miller was bad (though I don't think most of us thought he'd be this good). It's that the Canucks roster was flawed enough that giving up a first rounder for him was super risky
That still remains true. The Canucks, as it stands, are still about half a dozen guys dragging around one of the worst support groups in the league. They overperformed and cancelled out that risk, which is great, but the trade concerns were and in many ways still remain valid.
