Katy Perry always thinks outside the box, always creates an immersive experience with her music for her fans, and I love it.
Hello Katy Tour - she fronted a band, there was a giant Kitty Purry, dancing cats and massive strawberries flung at us.
California Dreams Tour - the entire arena smelt like cotton candy while she went from a monochrome world to a cotton candy wonderland complete with fireworks, dancers and freely thrown beachballs.
Prismatic World Tour she had a special Reflection Section that felt like a temporary home for KatyCats, giant butterflies, massive blooming sunflowers from the ceiling, gave away pizza on the daily, flew from balloons and showed us Prism Vision.
Witness the Tour she left herself exposed for us to witness her and her in turn witness us, challenged unnerving folk to basketball matches, conjured the planets, made wishes come true at the Teardrop Stage (including my own) and threw giant eyeballs everywhere.
I know Covid has halted many things and Katy is entering a new chapter of her life, as well as dishing out a new circus themed album. But when ready, I really cannot wait to see what she has in store for KP5. And however long the wait may be, I know that it will be worth it.
