EU supported the Spanish Prime Minister without hesitation, without a word in favor of innocent people beaten and injured by the police. Part of my government was sentenced to up to 13 years in prison for organising this referendum. They are still in prison.

What do you think they are thinking when reading you? @Toni_comin, @ClaraPonsati and I are in exile and we cannot fully exercise our duty as MEP because if we dared to put our feet on Spanish soil we would be detained and also sentenced to over 13 years of jail.

If you want to help democracy in Belarus and elsewhere, strengthen the internal democracy of the EU. End with the double standard and denounce the human rights abuses committed by the Spanish Monarchy.
