Social media management isn’t business as usual when it comes to charging and payment.

Some people just charge what comes to their or they charge a certain percentage of the clients budget.
Short changing yourself will be very painful to realize when you’ve gotten yourself engrossed in the job and you find out it’s not worth it.

Now, I use a particular format when I want to charge clients for social media management/ marketing jobs and I’ll share it.
1. I try and understand all I’ll be doing for them. For example client A brings a job and the first thing I ask is if they have a budget.

If they have a budget, I work with it. If they don’t have a budget( most times they don’t), I create one for them.
So for Client A: Content strategy/content calendar: N20

Branding/Graphic designs: N30

Strategy and execution: N40

Community management: N45

Influencer marketing: N50

Analytics/Reporting: N60

Ads : N100

Consulting: N100
2. The reason for this breakdown above is to explain in detail what you’ll be doing for the client.
Charging also depends on if you have a team you’ll be working with or if you’ll be doing the job alone ( superpower person 🌚)
3. Make sure you keep a report of what’s going on every day for your client. So that stories that touch won’t come up when payment it to be made.
