Fatphobia is a form of bigotry that equates fatness with ugliness, inferiority and immorality. It enables and justifies hostility & marginalization of fat people.
Fat is a not bad word!!!
There’s nothing wrong with a fat person referring to themselves as fat. There’s no need for a response along the lines of “Stop it! You’re not fat you’re beautiful.”

Fat is not a synonym for ugly or nasty.
Being fat doesn’t mean you are undesirable, more especially to yourself.

There actually are fat people that like their bodies, and aren’t looking into losing any weight and altering how they look.
Constantly talking about your efforts to lose weight, more so with a fat person, is disapproval of how the person looks as you’re hellbent on having it known that you’re trying not to look like the fat person

Lose weight for YOU, and not cos you don’t wanna look like so-and-so.
The world bombards us with stereotypes about fat people, and many of these fatphobic stereotypes have embedded themselves into our subconscious.

However, there’s nothing that can’t be unlearned or that stops us from being an ally to fat people!
