So you have a product idea, it’s the perfect idea and you have the plan, desire and energy to start but you just realized that something is missing because you do not have ALL the skills required to build your startup from the ground up….
Outsourcing a lot of your processes also doesn’t sound right because you would be spending money that your startup doesn’t have...This is the point where you NEED a CO-FOUNDER
Getting a co-founder is pretty much as good as getting a life partner because you are literally stuck with them for life. How do you go about this without jeopardizing things?

Here’s a list of steps for getting the right cofounder
1. Leverage your network. People you already worked with are more likely to be good co-founders than strangers, for the obvious reason that you already know each other’s style and have at least some mutual trust
2. Use online platforms to connect you with potential partners. Platforms like Founderdating, Founder2be, YouDoodle etc. can be a great place to check for a co-founder.
3. Job boards. While we don’t have people advertising that they need a co-founder, you can leverage job boards to find a co-founder. Simply create a role and list out the qualities, job description and qualifications that would complement you in building the startup.
NOTE!
Before you finally settle on a co-founder, Ensure that:
You complement and trust each other
You have the right documentation
You establish and negotiate roles very early.
You both have similar communication methods
They are emotionally and financially stable
