A rant before I burst. For a student predicted AAB With 6A*GSCE to be reduced to a BCC is unforgivable. Teachers have told her this morning “they don’t even recognise the results in relation to her and are powerless.” 1/1
In order to secure her medical place she had been tirelessly working in hospitals, training as a care worker recently- decimated by an algorithm. She may be one of many but she is MY daughter and I actually don’t know how to explain why her grades are nothing like her profile
It is unbelievably unfair, many won’t retake 3 A’levels in October without family support - it’s an unnecessary trauma. What message does this send about valuing hard work? So please could you reply personally to my daughter @GavinWilliamson and explain results? @educationgovuk
