THREAD: It's #ALevelResults day, so here's everything we can remember from school:
English Lit: It’s easier to watch the movie than read the book, everything’s a metaphor for something else, if it’s raining that’s “pathetic fallacy” and something bad's going to happen, Hamlet was based on the Lion King.
Science: That leaf thing is called photosynthesis, the sun is absolutely miles away, toasting your sandwich on a bunsen burner is a bad idea, there are too many elements. Lose some.
Maths: You think writing 5318008 on your calculator is the funniest thing ever, then you go to secondary school, upgrade to a scientific calculator, and open a whole new world of immature possibilities.
Geography: tectonic plates, papier mache volcanoes, and… erm… hmm.
History: It goes Dinosaurs, Cavemen, Egyptians, Romans, Vikings, Tudors, Guy Fawkes, Titanic, World War 2.

Absolutely nothing else happened in between. Stop asking about it.
RE: Let’s all just agree to disagree?
English Lit - just remembered some evil genius in our school wrote “George shoots Lenny” on Page 1 of EVERY. SINGLE. COPY. of Mice and Men.

We hope that person is doing well.
DT: Anything can be a pencil pot if you put pencils in it
History again (remembered more) - Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived...for a bit but then still died of old age or something.
PE: PE is just like Maths because you have to show you’re working out.
French/German/Spanish: We’re yet to go on a holiday where anyone asks us about our hobbies so this hasn’t come in particularly useful so far.
Food tech: All we learnt was how to make pesto pasta. This remains the single most important thing we were taught at school.
English Language: Verbs are doing words, nouns are names, adjectives describe them: “Stop [verb] being silly [adjective] on Twitter [noun] and sell [verb] some smoothies [noun] before [dunno] you [pronoun] are fired [verb].”

Still have absolutely no idea how to use a semi-colon.
Music: DJ DJ ~yeeeeeeaaah~
