A thread of Chelsea selling their top prospects:
KDB, arguably Chelsea biggest mistake. KDB made only 3 Premier League appearances in 2 years at Chelsea. The midfielder would later have a successful spell with Wolfsburg and eventually join Man City, his won 2 Premier League titles. KDB is arguably the best player itw right now.
Mo Salah, running down the wing. The Egyptian joined Chelsea from Basel in 2014. For a fee of only 11 mil, but after spending a few years in Italy, he made his return to England to join Liverpool where his won the PL and the CL. Salah is PL all time top scorer in a season. (32)
Lukaku, the Belgium was considered one of the best strikers in the PL at one point, he joined Chelsea back in 2011 for only £10 million. After his miss penalty in the 2013 Super Cup Final, he never wore a Chelsea kit again. His PL record is impressive as it’s 148 G/A in 252 app.
Daniel Sturridge was considered to be one of the best prime striker the PL has seen as in the 2013/14 calendar for Liverpool he bagged in 31 G/A in 29 app. During his time in Chelsea, he was never exploited as his spent most of his time and spell on loans.
Declan Rice was initially from the Chelsea academy who was released by Chelsea when he was the age of 10. Rice has been pivotal to West Ham as his the core of the team and now Chelsea are looking to buy him back. What goes around comes around.
Nathan Ake, Ake shone enough during Premier League loan spells at Watford and Bournemouth enough to be recalled by Antonio Conte in January 2017 to contribute to the Blues’ title charge. His now joined City and Chelsea are crying for a new CB now.
Aina actually played for Chelsea, appearing six times under Antonio Conte in 2016-17 as the Blues won the title. The Nigeria international was signed for £9million by Torino upon the end of his loan spell and has established himself as a regular in Serie A.
Jeremie Boga made one 18 minutes appearance for Chelsea who is now a top prospect in Serie A which Chelsea sold to Sassuolo for only £3.5 million. However Chelsea do have a buy back clause on this Boga.
Chelsea have one of the best youth academy in the world. With the likes of Mount, Abraham, Tomori, James, Odoi breaking through to the first team. Let’s hope they don’t make the same mistake of selling potential class footballers.
