It’s been about two days and this is what I will say.

We are both students. Stas is a PhD student at George Washington and I am a student a @ColumbiaSIPA. I was here to see my partner for the summer.
At one am, armed forces came into our home and turned it inside out.

The armed men took me into different rooms so I could never be in the same room with Stas. I could not hear the conversations but I could see the aftermath. I could see that they had gone through our things. At one point one of the men

was looking through my daily journal of what I need to buy at the grocery store. We are not protestors. We were here just because Stas had to leave armenia for his research due to Covid-19. I was here because I love him and wanted to spend the summer with

Someone whom I love. I am tired. We know he is being held at the kgb center. We have not been able to contact him or talk or see him. We have a lawyer. This is what I know. I just want him to be safe. Stas is a kind soul and a great social scientist.

He is smart and hardworking. He loves cats, and will watch stupid scary movies with me. He is the kind of person who will sit on the beach and read Hemingway under an umbrella. He is the best of us and I just want him to be safe. Thank you.
