I very much doubt many applicants follow me, but given judging by the tweets everyone else seems to have an army of followers in this situation, a quick reminder
You'll have been told things about your chosen uni, been sent literature, may have been to open day etc. If you accepted an offer and have the grades, well done.
The material information about that offer will have changed. You haven't yet agreed to those changes.
You have the right to know about any changes to the content of the course. You have the right to know how the course will be delivered. You have the right to know about any extra costs that you might need to bear to access resources or buy equipment as a result of the changes.
You have the right to know how the course will be assessed. You have the right to know if the pandemic has affected where teaching may be delivered.
You have the right to know about changes to any standout features promoted on the Open Day or in a prospectus. If you were “sold” the on-campus library, the careers hub, peer support schemes, wellbeing services, chaplaincies, clubs and societies, sports facilities...
...and so on then you have the right to know if they can’t be delivered, or accessed, or if there's less capacity. If there were 500 chairs in the library and there's now 50, you have the right to know that.
You have the right to know what a provider is committing to deliver both in the current circumstances and in different scenarios, how this will be achieved, and the changes that might need to be made in response to changing public health advice.
And that info should be bespoked for re students suffering from coronavirus or who need to self-isolate, international students, and students unable or less able to access or effectively engage in remote learning for whatever reason.
And should also be bespoked for care leavers, those estranged from their families, and students with disabilities. Each of the above. For every course. And every service and facility.
If you have an offer and can't get answers or don't like the changes, you can say no and demand a "repeat performance" under the consumer rights act. That's basically a right to defer your place to Sep 2021.
