When my A level results came through, my school, which, besides my actual subject tutors, had decided I was a trouble-maker unworthy of their support, suddenly tried to convince me that going anywhere other than Oxford with my results was a waste of potential.
I ignored them and went to study film at the furthest point from there that I'd found without leaving the country.

Whilst at university I met the friends who would introduce me to music production; I also became a father. Both of which are aspects which define who I am.
My school was right on some levels: the degree I received didn't "open doors" (as the expression goes). I've never gone for a job where my specific degree was helpful in landing the post either.
