Thread of Beach/Summer Themed Mobage cards and why I like them!!! Anyone who takes one look at my carrd can tell that I really really enjoy the Summer Aesthetic of Mobage cards and so I wanted to make a thread of a bunch of them in particular that I really like!! This thread will

be very long because there are few beach themed cards i dislike (mainly just the rly oversexualised ones ) AND!!!! The aesthetic for these kinds of cards in general just make me too happy to not include ones that make me smile even if its just a little bit

these are just going to be posted in the order my computer has sorted the files and will include cards from multiple different games so !! Here we go

Aquarium in the Sea - Maya Yamato 3⭑ (Trained)

This maya just looks so gorgeous. She has a water gun in one hand and the other is stabilizing her position on the drum. The background includes lovely details like an aquarium backdrop and a "moat" around the stage and her outfit that matches her colors (yellow/green) contrasted

by the bright orange and purple of the flower accessories she has makes this card stand out to me! Of course the flowers and water are beautifully rendered here, but that's the case for most cards of this ones kind! Pasupare was one of the first bands i fell in love with

when I got into bandori so when this set was released I was very happy!!

Awash in an Ocean of Light - Yukina Minato 4⭑

Man...man where do i start with this one. The untrained is just so cute. Yukina chilling in a floatie looking all cool and composed while lisa playfully squishes her cheek is just so cute? and yukina hardly seems bothered by it which just makes it better for me. The bright brown

of Lisa's hair against the blue makes you look at her first, then draws your eye towards yukinas own face, highlighting the squished cheek as a gesture which is such a cute use of line of sight !! Not sure if those words are right but the fact that youre invited to look at their

interaction is very adorable to me. As for the trained... It probably holds up as one of the best bandori card arts even today. Soft blues and purples caressing yukina while her hair and clothes swirl around her giving her an ethereal preasence that to me at least, reminds me

of a siren. Beautiful voice that'll draw you in to danger~ Yukina is the exact opposite of a dangerous character of course, but i find that contradiction to add to the charm of this card

Beach Pair - Eli Ayase and Honoka Kousaka UR

I haven't been paying much attention to SIF lately, however I do think that this is very high up on the list of my favorite cards from them. Honoka's determined face in her version of the card and Eli's gentle but mischevious one in hers look awesome together. And thats not even

mentioning the two outfits because holy shit do the love live girls continue to sport some of my all time favorite semi-casual summer outfits. And honoka's swimsuit is just so adorable? I love when idol franchises don't defualt to using a characters image color for their swimsuit

and this is no exception.

Beach Walk - Chika Takami UR (Unidolized)

Im going to be real here, the memes are hilarious but 100% I *adore* this card despite its ingame use and broken spine in the idolized. It's full of so much energy, chika running through the sand, barefoot, as seagulls fly all around her. The small wink at the camera too, as if

chika is inviting you to join in on her fun. I love how the lense flares add more atmosphere too, with the blur on her feet it looks like you've taken a picture of chika right as she was at her best, and I love that about this card.

Blue Boundary - Leo Tsukinaga 5⭑ (Bloomed)

I have yet to read the story this card is from, so I can't comment on any symbolism relating to Leo's character, however the way the beautiful blues of the water and bright oranges of Leo's hair contrast eachother just turns out so lovely. The small circles of light that break

through the water and dot Leo's skin makes this card so calming to look at, alongside the fish and flowers that swirl around him. His expression too, is so calm, and I love how it adds to the soft atmosphere of this card

Calm Sea, Soft Breeze - Tae Hanazono 5⭑ (Untrained)

This card is another great example of how absolutely, jawdroppingly gorgeous recent bandori cards have become. The subtle blues and yellows overlayed with a powerful yet gentle green gives this card one of the best feelings of "Summer" I can think of. The breeze tousles Tae's

hair and the small bits of light upon her shoulders makes this card feel like a personal encounter. The background is simple in detail, but speaks in volumes on atmosphere. Overlooking a small beach lined only with a few trees and windmills gives a sense of vastness to the

setting itself that directly contrasts how close to Tae we feel just from the foreground

Cherubic Eyes - Hajime Shino 5⭑ (Bloomed)

While this card specifically has little to do with the beach, it does have many key aspects of the Summer Aesthetic. Loose, light colored clothes paired with a towel hanging from his neck alongside his hair being blown by the fan, gives us the impression that Hajime is cooling

off on a warm summers day. The yellow overtone and almost unnoticable droplets of sweat alost push across this idea. And with the size of his eyes and small blush on his cheeks, it feels like the fan is doing its job as hajime cools down.

I Wanna See the Ocean With You / Chika Kyuun~ Summer - Chika Takami UR

The idolized and unidolized versions of this card have opposing energies. Unidolized, Chika and Yuu are calmly strolling together on the beach shore as the sun sets while Idolized Chika is bursting with energy and practically popping out of the screen to rope you into some

summer-time fun. Chika's head in the idolized almost, but not quite covering the sun brings the viewers eyes directly to her slight smile and soft eyes. And her flowy white dress adds to the serene-ness of this scene. In the Idolizes, the large quantity of bright and bold

saturated colors fills the card with youthful energy; you can tell by her huge grin and wink that Chika is having the time of her life playing around and she doesn't plan to stop anytime soon!
