The number 1 threat to the world we dwell in today is conservative America. No longer will we scratch our heads at how the Nazis got into power. Inherent thickness, paranoia, selfishness and cleverly controlled misinformation can turn fourth reich when left unchecked.

The thing that stands between you and populists taking the freedom you may hold dear is the checks and balances of your democracy. Anyone encroaching on them should send everyone out onto the street. In the US the Republicans are more about “winning” than freedom.

They are about themselves and feel no obligating to “us”. Same as mask wearing it separates the selfless from the selfish perfectly. We shouldn’t platform the nefarious to act with impunity. We shouldn’t permit populists to empower the thick and/or bigots amongst us.

Too many have looked the other way during the past few years including politicians, social media platforms and global organisations. The result is what we see around us where hate prevails and ignorance is abound. Appeasing extremists never works.

The point I’m trying to make is that it’s now nearly half way through the close season and Everton still have the exact same set of slugs who’ve ruined our weekends all year. If I see Brands in any sort of blazer I’m going camp outside Finch Farm to lash Gouda at his head.
