JK Rowling has ruined my childhood: A Thread

The Harry Potter books were the first "Non-Kids" books that I read by myself. They held a special place in my heart, I read and finished them in two languages and they matter to me a lot because it helped me and my dad connect.
I watched the movies and I was then entranced by the beautiful and majestic world. The message of them was very important to me and I interpreted it as "People should be kind to everyone and love everyone" in my 9 year old brain. While the message has changed a bit to me now...
it still contains the basic thought of kindness to everyone. Now, I see the type of horrible words and thoughts that come out of the brain of my favourite books' author, and I feel so hypocritical when reading the books, especially since the message I thought it had...
is said by the same person who is an incredible hypocrite who disproves the main message of her story through her current thoughts and actions. It makes the book seem meaningless and empty, and makes me lose connections that I had to my childhood and with my parents.
Basically, the biggest part of my childhood is ruined by a terrible person who wrote the book and now I have to abandon it due to my personal beliefs of trying to be inclusive.
I know no one will ever care about this thread, but I just had to rant.
Thanks
