chihiro was never the one to say that. it was only AFTER they died that the OTHERS came to that conclusion. (i will be using they/them pronouns for chihiro in this thread, but i will be using she/her in later tweets) (2/?)

after chihiro's death, the other students violated their privacy, when byakuya and sakura looked at their body. then they came to the conclusion that chihiro felt like they "weren't strong enough" to be a boy and that they dressed as a girl to hide the fact (3/?)
that they were weak.
now i feel like even if chihiro were to say that themselves, that's sort of toxic masculinity AND transphobia? you cant be "too weak" to be a boy.

why would they have dressed as a girl? that would just make it harder to come out as a boy later. they could've just continued dressing masculine and started working out.

being outed and bullied for being trans would be a million times worse than being bullied for being weak. there's no way being weak was their only worry.

not let the others find out, and used she/her for chihiro up until the others discovered him as the blackened. he likely only switched to he/him ones afterwards to not cause a scene.
however, i'm not trans myself so i can't say whether or not mondo was transphobic. (8/?)
