i think the conversation should be “voting isn’t nearly enough, there are entire systems of power that need to be replaced via revolutionary action and organizing” instead of “voting has literally no utility whatsoever haha just don’t vote”
at the end of the day voting is an act of utility, but only if it is combined with revolutionary sentiments. the notion that by voting you’re supporting the system that exists is pretty nonsensical. it’s perfectly reasonable to **prefer** biden while being a leftist
both biden and trump are capitalist and imperialist candidates, however i think people fail to realize how fascist the republican party is. most of the ways we plan to organize will be made much harder under trump than under biden.
either way there will have to be revolutionary action, but it’s unreasonable to think that there aren’t types of reform that can aid our cause. think of how many positions we vote for in november other than “president”
the system is already imperialist, it’s already capitalist. the people like bernie sanders or aoc who come into the game arent revolutionaries but what they ARE doing is normalizing our concerns and our forms of organization and ultimately bettering living conditions.
