There’s a time I saw a question posed by a gentleman here about how we can challenge the current depressing status quo.

I quoted his tweet and told him I will come back with an answer.

Here are my suggestions

The long game: Though not the only answer, but I think what I have is quite something. I’ve thought about. I’ll try to be brief.

In order to defeat the Kenyan dictatorship and change the status quo, we need to educate the masses.

Kenyans need to know that they are citizens of Kenya and that the USA, Dubai etc are not their saviours.

We can change things here.

3/

For example, a belief in the USA (western powers) as a saviour is problematic. We hang onto this because we believed the lies that they deliver democracy.

A short deconstruction is, where has the USA ever delivered democracy? Libya? Iraq? etc

Stop believing in the USA

By ceasing to believe in the USA etc, what then should people of Kenya focus on?

Article 37 provides the answer.

What if these fails? Sustained demos can't fail.

Secondly, believing in the superiority of the tribe or one tribe is bullshit. Kikuyus are everywhere, they seem wealthy, but that’s not the truth everywhere. They suffer poverty like the rest of the Kenyans.

The lies that they are industrious and thus become rich because of it should be debunked. Truth is, most of Kikuyus are the same as any other Kenyan, poor and miserable (difference is that they hold onto that lie, 'i am a muthamaki therefore better')

Some have deconstructed the Kikuyu-are-rich lies by equating it to the USA, where blacks are oppressed and all of the white people including the very poor sing that they are better because they are white.

Of course, let talk about resource distribution, it is skewed against the other tribes. (I don’t need to talk about the impasse at the Senate). You can all read.

Few Kikuyus got rich, wrote books & entrenched the lie.

What they don't say: Imagine being given a bank loan and being told ‘no worries’ in the middle of paying it and that loan record is wiped? Who wouldn't get ahead with such an opportunity?

Kikuyus are treated like whites. In those racist western countries, white easily get loans from banks, they easily get a space to start a business, they easily travel to other areas & are allowed to start businesses or live freely.

It is all by design, history was re-written, falsehoods added since independence, this image put into books (Mr Kamau - Hello children), roads names, newspaper revisited history, till other started singing, 'Kikuyus are hardworking - they are rich - they fought for independence"

Botton line is, we have very many poor Kenyans from all tribes, stop gassing the Kikuyus and Kikuyus should also stop lying to themselves or accepting the lies told by their elites.

In the run-up to that hotly contested 2017 sham general elections, the President Uhuru Kenyatta spoke tough about 'foreign forces that want to effect a regime change'.

The president was making such remarks on national television during one of the celebrations to mark the country's independence from Britain, Jamhuri Day.

Note that, we later found out that it is indeed Jubilee that has hired foreign CAMBRIDGE ANALYTICA.

A few days later, the then head or NGO Coordination board Fazul Mohamed (not to be confused with the AL Qaeda terrorist) banned IFES Kenya.

IFES Kenya had by that time existed in Kenya since late 80s. It was banned because it was enlightening Wananchi about things that matter, things that they are supposed to know even according to the 2010 constitution, Civic Education.

Politicians love ignorant voters and citizens.

Our long game is civic education, teaching the correct position of things at a time.

The tide will turn, at the appointed time.
