TE HOG RATE

aka "Targets per snap," this number measures how often a player was targeted when they were actually on the fields. It is an excellent way to measure how much a certain player was used in their offense.

Let& #39;s dive into the TE position

THREAD (1/12)
TE Hog Rate - Top 12

1. M Andrews (23.4)
2. E Ebron (17.4) https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤯" title="Explodierender Kopf" aria-label="Emoji: Explodierender Kopf">
3. E Engram (16.3)
4. A Hooper (15.9)
5. G Kittle (15.5)
6. T Kelce (15.2)
7. Z Ertz (15.0)
8. C Brate (14.7) https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🧐" title="Gesicht mit Monokel" aria-label="Emoji: Gesicht mit Monokel">
T9. T Higbee (14.5)
T9. G Everett (14.5)
11. J Cook (14.0)
12. M Gesicki (13.9)

(2/12)
Some obvious names top this list: Kelce, Kittle, Ertz, Andrews, Engram.

But I bet you weren& #39;t expecting names like Ebron and Brate in the top 12.

I find it rather poetic that in the midst of the Higbee vs Everett twitter battle, they are tied in targets per snap.

(3/12)
This list is cut in half at the median of a 16% target share. The ones under that threshold are:

Ebron (15.5%)
Brate (10.8%)
Higbee (15.9%)
Everett (13.7%)
Cook (13.5%)
Gesicki (15.3%)

(4/12)
Eric Ebron TE27, #2 Hog

52/31/375/3

Ebron left early with an ankle injury + battled for snaps/targets with J Doyle.

Now in PIT with a wide-open TE room (sorry Vance) and a TE-loving Ben Roethlisberger under center, Ebron could be a high ceiling TE2 in 2020.

(5/12)
Cameron Brate TE24, #8 Hog

56/36/311/4

Jameis& #39;s favorite TE only had 1 game of real significance: wk 11 (14/10/73/0). Without that week, Brate only saw 42 tgts and 26 rec.

Now battling with OJH for a spot behind Gronk, Brate won& #39;t even be a streamable option in 2020.

(6/12)
Tyler Higbee TE8, T #9 Hog

89/69/734/3

We all know the Higbee story: unrosterable until wk 13 when Everett went down and he began to score 20+ FP each week.

Before wk13: pace of 53/42/339/1 (10gm sample)

Not touching Higbee at current ADP of 7.09 TE8

(7/12)
Gerald Everett TE26, T #9 Hog

60/37/408/2

Before leaving to injury, Everett was a boom/bust TE streamer.

On pace for 95/59/653/3.

Current ADP of TE28 is worth the potential upside.

(8/12)
Jared Cook TE7, #11 Hog

65/43/705/9

Lived and died on TDs.

11 Endzone targets (2nd only to M Andrews).

I usually try to avoid TD-dependant options (a la Ebron 2018 vs Ebron 2019).

Emmanuel Sanders + 3rd rd rookie Trautman = out on Cook being a TE1 in 2020.

(9/12)
Mike Gesicki TE12, #12 Hog

89/51/570/5

10 EZ targets (3rd behind Cook + Andrews) but only 5 TDs therefore numbers aren& #39;t inflated by TDs, though the TDs could potentially increase.

"Big Slot" role + Albert Wilson opt-out + going into 3rd "breakout" year = BUY https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤑" title="Gesicht mit Geld-Mund" aria-label="Emoji: Gesicht mit Geld-Mund">
