Kamala Harris was born October of 1964 in Oakland, CA. Her mother Shyamala Gopalan emigrated from India in 1960 to pursue a doctorate in endocrinology at UC Berkeley. Her father Donald J. Harris emigrated from British Jamaica 1961 for grad study in economics at UC Berkeley
Kamala was raised in CA with her younger sister, Maya Harris (we will get to her later). Kamala attended high school in Quebec, Canada graduating in 1981. She attended college at Howard University in Washington, D.C. where she double-majored in political science & economics graduating with a B.A. in 1986. She interned as a mailroom clerk for CA Senator Alan Cranston
At the start of her professional career, Kamala returned to CA, where in 1989 she earned her Juris Doctor from the University of CA, Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco. She passed the bar exam & gained admission to the State Bar of California in June of 1990

Kamala was then hired as a deputy district attorney in Alameda County, California. She was deemed "extremely progressive." February 1998, San Francisco DA Terence Hallinan recruited Harris as an assistant DA.

What is "Three Strikes" you ask? In October 2003, the San Francisco Ethics Commission found that Harris unintentionally violated the city's campaign finance law by exceeding the voluntary $211,000 spending limit. Issuing $34,000 in penalties and corrective measures
Kamala became District Attorney of San Francisco from 2004–2011. Harris inherited a 50% felony conviction rate in 2004. During her tenure, the felony conviction rate rose to 53% in 2005, to 66% in 2006 & 76% in 2009.

Nevertheless, (OPINION) Biden/Harris will not garner enough enthusiasm to beat Trump in the 2020 election. I have a feeling there may be some plot twists over the coming months. buckle up folks!
