why i won't vote for joe biden & kamela harris, A THREAD:
1. joe biden and barack obama, despite obama's promise to end wars, continued the war in iraq in 2011
2. joe biden's major role in the 1994 crime bill AND refusal to walk back his support
3. the lesser evil is still evil!!

4. joe biden will be 78, the oldest POTUS if elected, and likely hand the reigns over to kamela at some point (due to death or sickness/retirement) who, while historic, has a history of supporting a "tough on crime" approach which i fundamentally disagree with...

... due to the high rate of recidivism (repeat offense) and the fact the US has the highest per capita~20% of the world prison pop. with only ~5% of the global pop.
5. kamela is NOT progressive or attractive to the left, she is an establishment dem who was pro prisons as DA...

...as DA convictions rose to the highest in CA in a decade and drug convictions rose as well. despite her pro marijuna campaigning, prosecutions rose during under her in SF
6. biden & harris do not support bernie's M4A plan, rather a public option or role for private insurance

7. biden's main difference from trump is his twitter, they are both pro war, pro wall st, pro prisons - "nothing will fundamentally change"
8. his entitlement to the black community's vote disgusts me but is sooooo on brand
9. while biden is supported by anti-Trump reps...

9. to argue bipartisanship, he won't do the same for the left in his party, yes things like the green new deal, but we need more. change does not have to be slow, that's what ppl who like the status quo say. biden's work with the reps will move the dems right, for corporations :)

10. biden's support of the 1992 defense of marriage act. DOMA was an attack on the LGBTQ+ community which reveals something about biden. either he doesn't believe in gay rights and is lying now bc of popularity, or he has no backbone and goes with the tide...

...both are offensive and obscene particularly the 2nd. if he doesn't truly stand for anything, but merely pandering to get elected, than will he really fight for working ppl??? or will he just succumb to the temptations of corporations and their donations...

...regardless i'm tired of ppl shaming ppl for not voting biden. DOMA reveals something about biden, that's why it's 10. it reveals biden is a puppet. DOMA on its face value (states do not hve to recognize same-sex marriages), is obsene enough to me and my rights i request...
