đŸ’„How I reached 400 followers in 15 days on Money TwitterđŸ’„

Thanks to everyone who is a part of Money Twitter, whether we follow each other or not!

RT’s are appreciated!

1. This has been said many times, but ENGAGE

There are 3 ways that I have engaged while on this account

I recommend doing ALL 3 to help your growth!

A. Your Tweets
B. Quoted Tweets/Retweets
C. Replies
1A. If you ain’t tweetin, you ain’t tryin

1 follower or 10,000, put out your own content

Make tweets that are both relatable and transparent

For example, I made this post early on and it was a reason I gained a lot of followers

(I’ll explain my theory in next tweet) https://twitter.com/decadeinvestor/status/1289919752916221953
1A. (This is all my theory)

The reason this tweet did well: it was both relatable and transparent.

There are many investors that are new and have small dividend payments, so they can relate to only a few dollars per stock

I was transparent with my income, which is a plus
1B. When you see a post that is valuable to your audience, doing a Quoted Tweet will allow you to add value to the post all while still showing what the post was below it.

For example, @Dividend_Dollar had a great post... I wanted my audience to see, but also add some value! https://twitter.com/decadeinvestor/status/1293385590919106564
1B. If you want your audience to see, but you can’t think of any value to add, do not be afraid of just a simple RT.

That still will show up on your followers time lines and add value to them.

Don’t think a RT won’t help your page!

If it adds value to your followers, DO IT!
1C. This is where I think I have been able to grow A LOT.

The reply under a tweet. This is a game changer. I am going to share a secret I’ve been doing in the next few tweets.

When you see a great tweet, you should aim to leave a valuable reply

Replies are very powerful!
1C. For example, this reply under @CJ_Johnson17th was able to get over 900 impressions

Don’t underestimate the power of a solid reply. You get the eyes from the creator + their audience.

AND a possible reply/RT from the creator or others who see the reply! https://twitter.com/decadeinvestor/status/1293609071560601600
1C. Here is my secret (a lot of people may use it but I haven’t heard of anyone that does)

I turn on post notifications for big accounts

@thewealthdad
@DivCultivator
@CJ_Johnson17th
@CalebGregory304

Why? So I can be one of the first valuable responeses which = more eyes!
2. How often do I post?

I usually send out between 4-6 scheduled tweets per day. (I use Tweetdeck)

I come up with them throughout the day or in bed the night before.

I get them from READING 📖 books or just from my thoughts!

*DO NOT COPY OTHERS TWEETS*
2. After I schedule my tweets, I use the day to engage (follow the steps in 1)

Scheduling allows me to only have to focus on engagement while my own posts are sent out automatically.

Scheduled tweets has been a game changer for me.
2. Other than my 4-6 scheduled tweets, I will also tweet other times throughout the day. Anytime I am talking about a stock that is not schedued (for the most part)

For example, today I tweeted this, and it wasn’t scheduled https://twitter.com/decadeinvestor/status/1293658180443136003
2. As for QT and replies, I don’t have a set goal to reach per day.

I just QT/reply as I see fit!

I usually hover around 80-100 tweets per day since I started this account (including the scheduled tweets)
3. Profile

I started with an anonymous picture, now it’s one of me (I’ve seen successful pages on both sides)

Make sure your bio reflects what you post... I’m called “Decade Investor” so everything long term investing is me, and it’s the first thing in my bio
3. Header

I created a free header on Canva.

Took me 5 minutes to pick a theme and add the text.

It connects with my page and states what I want my page to reflect!

Super important to have a good header IMO!
4. ANALYTICS

I use https://analytics.twitter.com  to see what posts do best...

Before I go to bed, I will RT one or two of my best performing tweets

This is because there is another part of the world waking up, so you will get more eyes 👀

And it’s already a good performing tweet!
5. Engagement Groups!

It is a group of accounts that are similar in size that engage with each other’s posts!

I just started one, so I can’t speak on it much, but it definitely can’t hurt you to be in one!
6. The DMs

I wouldn’t be here without the help of @GrowthGrounds

He was one of the first accounts to reach out and offer help/tips

Reach out to accounts in your niche, talk to them, be human! I’ve already met some great people in the DMs!
7. The use of “$”

If you are a personal finance account... when talking about stocks, always add the $ in front of the ticker.

$AAPL
$TSLA

This is essentially a hashtag... another avenue for people to find your account!

Don’t forget the $ when tweeting about stocks!
8. Have fun!

At the end of the day, followers come and go, but the people you connect with last forever

It’s great to have followers but don’t stress out about it too much!

Have fun! Build connections! Tweet your thoughts! Enjoy Money Twitter!
