(THREAD) @DrJohnEastman has written a piece on candidate eligibility for office that's risible quackery. A court has "complete" jurisdiction if it has personal and subject-matter jurisdiction. "Partial" jurisdiction is when a court *shares* jurisdiction. Eastman's lie is racist.
1/ I won't link to Eastman's garbage here, but will summarize it—as you may encounter it. Eastman says anyone born in the U.S. at a time they/their parents might later leave it is not under the "complete" jurisdiction of U.S. courts for candidate eligibility purposes. It's a lie.
2/ Again—"complete" jurisdiction exists whenever a court has "personal" jurisdiction (the person in question is physically in the jurisdiction) and "subject-matter" jurisdiction (meaning the legal matter at issue is meant to be heard by that particular court in the jurisdiction).
3/ The term "partial" jurisdiction refers to a *different scenario* from Eastman's racist coinage. "Partial" jurisdiction simply means there's a matter at issue that *either* of two courts could hear. It does *not* mean what Eastman claims—in a novel, racist reading—that it does.
4/ So here's what the GOP did in *under 24 hours*:

1⃣ Launched a new racist "birtherism" against Harris.
2⃣ Floated the possibility Biden could die pre-election.

I am so effing angry right now. These cretins don't even deserve to call themselves Americans—they're without honor.
5/ There is, to be *very* clear, *no* legitimate concern about Biden's health and *no* legitimate concern about Harris' eligibility for office. But I'll tell you what: you will find the lies being spread by @DrJohnEastman and @JudgeJeanine on *Kremlin-owned TV* very, *very* soon.
