A quick thread of amazing answers, in my humble opinion, to everyday problems we’re all facing. (Thread)
Me to my friends who tell me about their unsafe working conditions.
Me to my friends who rage against income disparity and want to find ways to uplift the working class.
Me to my family members and friends who talk about pay disparity in the workplace.
Me to politicians who want to “fight poverty” and “uplift the working class.”
Me to people who tell me they’re underpaid and overworked.
Me to people who say they can’t speak out against injustice at the workplace because they’re afraid of retaliation.
Me to my friends who say that they’ve got no maternity leave from work and are concerned about how they’re going to afford to have their child(ren).
Me to my friends who stress constantly about the lack of job security.
Me to my friends who are tired of “listening panels” and “diversity committees” being put in place instead of real, meaningful change.
Me to my friends who want to be part of one of, if not THE most diverse, long-lasting social and economic justice movement in United States history.
Me to my friends whose companies make money, their CEO’s and executives are making obscene amounts of money, and yet they haven’t seen a significant raise in years.
