Remember: this is definitely a COVID thing, even though market share has been falling for a year as the market has grown. A ship or two will fix it. Or maybe the new factory? Or a new model? Point is, something will just fix this without Tesla having to admit a single misstep. https://twitter.com/AutoNewsEurope/status/1293488785213157377
All the reports of poor quality and long service times are all just fake news. The lawsuits over misrepresentations about power output and Autopilot/FSD also never happened. Oh, and Autopilot was never nerfed in Europe, wiping out core functionalities. Nope, none of that is true.
Also, anyone who tells you that Europe is a ridiculous market for an EV-only brand to just not prioritize must believe the myth that Europe is the fastest-growing market for EVs in the last 12 months as China and the US have stagnated. That's definitely, 100% not true.
But even if all this does turn out to be true, and somehow Tesla made some pretty serious strategic and tactical mistakes in Europe, it doesn't matter. It's all about "the mission," and as long as EVs are selling it means Tesla stock will go up. Which is also what it's all about.
