Trying to figure out what ‘indie’ means anymore when the latest big ‘indie’ game has offices in 4 different cities
The term debate and this discussion has been going on for years, but it’s starting to get to bizarre levels of confusing.

The aesthetic of indie games is now a design choice and marketing framing used by companies with large budgets, influence, and resources
It’s just confusing!

I don’t have much interest in self-titling as ‘indie’ anymore because it’s too uselessly broad
Because people are arguing in my mentions:

The only acceptable answer here is do you collect mysterious and abstract orbs in your game? You're indie then.
