It's nuts to me how progressive the various grunge bands turned out to be.

I mean you've got these dirty white kids with greasy hair, ripped jeans and flannel shirts singing about dogs and piss.

And then you discover that they're nazi-punching feminists.

Cobain was a huge feminist and believer in gender equality.

Layne Staley, of Alice in Chains, decking a Nazi in the face.

And don't forget how Pearl Jam have a tradition (especially in Southern states) whenever they play Bushleaguer, of wearing Bush masks, and then sticking them on their mic stands and pouring beer all over them.

And also don't forget how their most recent album, Gigaton (From THIS year! They're STILL going!) , is anti-Trump.
