#KHive I started planning a project a while ago and after discussion with some of y'all last night, I'm ready to make it public. lego KHive! I started with minifigures of Joe & Kamala. I'm building a village and creating custom minifigures of various members of KHive.

In the discussion last night, I mentioned that I wanted to create minifigures of everyone in KHive that I could afford to. Folks offered to help me pay for it. I'm delighted and excited y'all offered to help. So, this thread is for working on that project, w/ your input

There are some folks in KHive that I'm planning on making minifigures for no mater what they do, they are just so central imo to KHive that I have to. Like @RealKHiveQueenB @chrislongview @notcapnamerica @blackwomenviews and a few others. I haven't finished my list yet.

Anyone who contributes enough for a minifigure, I'll figure out an amt, will eventually get their figure mailed to them. After I do several scenes like, lego Kamala & Joe rallies w/ us in atendance, various activities, and of course, the election night party!

The minifigures can cost anywhere from 10$ to 30$ to make. Some I have had to order parts from companies that produce lego compatible parts in England and other countries. Some, like lego Biden will have a pet or other accessories. We can discuss that too.

Here is part of the #KHive village so far. Some of this will change. I've got plans for a concert, on one side you can see a fair going on now. I plan on doing a Hillary minifig as well as one for Doug Emhoff, Nancy Pelosi and Dr. Jill Biden and other political figures.

So, I thought I'd put up a few lego "sketches" just, quick impressions of folks in KHive, not final choices. Testing out various parts, hair, heads seeing how close I can get to the person I'm trying to make a minifig of.

Here's sketches of @notcapnamerica & @blackwomenviews not quite perfect, the torsos & legs are what I'll prolly use for the face sketches, those will change. I'll have to change the hands, obviously, but, for the face & hair? What do y'all think?

Inauguration set update: Today we watch the actual inauguration & I'll post a few photos of the rehersal the lego minifigs are doing. In a few days, I'll post pic of the completed lego Biden/Harris inauguration. Here's it is so far. #Inauguration2021 #legoBidenHarrisInauguration

Here's a pic of lego Kamala Harris, I got lucky & had printed a clear set of stickers w/ suit outlines for women & a purple torso to use, so I was able to get the color of her suit right. #Inauguration2021 #legoBidenHarrisInauguration

Here's a minifigure of @RepBarbaraLee I had to, she's wearing Shirley Chisholm's pearls and although the suit isn't a perfect match, it's fairly close. I hope she likes it. Today is just the lego inaugural rehersal..

Update: Still working on the stickers for the outfits for several of the folks at the inauguration. Had to buy hair for the Lady Gaga minifig. I'm almost done w/ her dress. I went ahead & bought a few torsos of the right colors while I was at it for Dr. Jill & Amanda Gorman figs.

In honor of @JanetYellen being sworn in, I did a Janet Yellen lego minifigure...what do y'all think?
