Since there’s so many ppl hating on Will lately, here’s a thread on every time Will Byers saved your favs:

When Joyce was trying to talk to Will through the lights, he told her to run cuz he knew the demogorgon was gonna come out of the wall.

This is not mentioned in the story, but he distracted the demogorgon when Nancy was stuck inside the tree, and that’s how she managed to get out safely. He put himself in danger just to save her. He tried getting out too but unfortunately couldn’t reach the gate in time.

He knew hopper was in danger when he saw him in his now memories, hence, he brought Joyce and Bob to Hopper so that they could get him out of the tunnel save him. In conclusion, Hopper would have been d€ad without him.

He told them to close the gate in order to stop the mindflayer even though he knew very well that this would kill him, once again risking his own life to save EVERYONE.

Without Will the party wouldn’t have known that part of the mindflayer was locked in the real world and that it’d want to attach itself to a new host. They wouldn’t have known that their lives were in danger.

Will’s spidey sense acted as an alarm for when the mindflayer was near or when it was activated. Without him around to warn them abt it, Max would have gotten her face smashed by Billy during the sauna test and Nancy would have been swallowed up by the monster in the hospital.
