How Devi Nikhumbila Became the Rakshak & Bhakshak of Indrajith

After seeing a lot of disappointment in war, loosing many warriors, Indrajith reminded himself to obtain powers from his kuldevi Devi Nikhumbila through kshudra ways. Indrajith used to worship in Vamachara padhati
Indrajith decided to perform a thaamasa vamachara puja by giving sacrifice through the blood of a black goat to 'Nikhumbila devi' sitting under a banyan tree.
Tamasic pujas are for specific kshudra powers & personal gains and in procedure they wont hestitate to harm anyone on way
Vamachara Tantrik pujas have procedures and have deadly consequences if they fail to complete the prescribed procedures. These pujas if anybody uses against yogis, acharis or people with strong vedic background these powers will reverse on the user and destroy them instead.
Indrajith had powers & once created a maya roop (illusion) of maa seeta & tried to portray to the vanar sena & others by dragging her and pulling her with the hair and cut her there. This was noted by Hanuman and others and when communicated to Raam, he lost all his conscious.
Meanwhile Vibheeshana managed to reach Rama with informational and told him about his powers and maya he created to trick them in war. He assured Raama that seeta maa is all alive and try to send the sena to stop the Nikumbhila before the tantra takes its fruit.
A boon was given by Brahma to tht intelligent demon as follows: "O Indrajit! Tht enemy of urs, who strikes while u r marching with ur bow drawn, & while u have nt arrived at Nikumbhila, or even while u hve nt offered oblations to the sacred fire, will be the cause of ur killing."
Lakshmana managed to reach the Nikumbhila and tried to damage the mahayagnya and succeeded in killing Indrajith. He won over him and reached back to Shree Raam with the victory news.

If Indrajith had succeeded, lakshmana would have lost it all.
Devi tantra powers are so strong that it can make or break a bhramand. Tantra pujas are really meant to be used for Loka kalyan, and it is the major principle of the aachara. Those who try to use it for harming people it backfires on them badly.
