Big concern is biz model where corporations integrate clinical services w/ pharmacy biz in order to increase profits derived from (over)prescribing—& use their (new) MDs to push pills. This erosion of clinical autonomy not always explicit, but it’s real. #cdnpoli #onpoli #bcpoli
Once corporations have access to personal health data, much easier to engage in direct-to-patient marketing via their medical clinics. It’s a brilliant business strategy when your #1 priority is shareholder profit. It’s an unregulated area that demands urgent attention. #cdnpoli
