[TSLAQ lawsuit thread]. @WholeMarsBlog I spent the morning reading probably wayyy too much on Greenspan v. Qazi et al.
Read most of the briefs and responses to date.
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice or opinion.
Just my personal, first amendment protected speech.
Original and amended complaints from Greenspan are excessively long, but worth being familiar with to understand motion to dismiss.
Seems like Greenspan throwing all his conspiracy theories against the wall to see what sticks. Spoiler: nothing
The case is essentially brought against Omar Qazi and @elonmusk and Greenspan claims that Omar was working as an agent of Elon to harass Greenspan online. Evidence of this is flimsy to say the least.
Here's a select example from the motion to dismiss:
That's right. In Greenspan's mind, apparently Elon is vicariously responsible for Omar's alleged libelous statements on Twitter and other mediums because he complimented Omar's Twitter account lol.
There's a mountain of nonsense in this case and it would take a book, not a tweet thread to go over all of it in depth. But I'll leave you with this observation of mine.
It has been my experience that people wildly project out onto the world in often hilarious ways. For example*, Trump claiming there will be election fraud while kneecapping the post office, suing states for expanding their mail on voting, etc.
Or Trevor Milton from Nikola claiming that he's being attacked by paid spam accounts on Twitter. If you look at many of the sycophantic replies to his feed, you'll see an awful lot of accounts with few if any followers started in 2020 and with no interest in anything other
than retweeting him and Nikola and generally stroking his ego.

Similarly, Greenspan imagines a vast conspiracy orchestrated by Elon and Tesla aimed at manipulating Tesla stock price for their benefit.
But could it not be that Greenspan, an admitted Tesla short seller is actually just telling the world who he really is?

I'll let you judge for yourself.
