I& #39;m back after a brief absence, and here& #39;s today& #39;s data. It& #39;s the second straight day of 100+ reported COVID-related deaths in Georgia. (This reflects when deaths are reported, not when they occur.) #gapol https://www.ledger-enquirer.com/news/coronavirus/article244909882.html">https://www.ledger-enquirer.com/news/coro...
Cases are up a little. The difference between DPH& #39;s "Reported Today" figure (3,660) and the net increase (3,565) is about 100. Net increase is just simply taking today& #39;s total and subtracting it from yesterday& #39;s total.
DPH& #39;s Reported Today figure accounts for older duplicate cases that get removed or cases that get reclassified through DPH investigation before the day& #39;s new cases get added.
@sclaudwhitehead hit this point on a good thread yesterday regarding the state& #39;s clean up of death data.

I& #39;ve reached out to DPH for a breakdown by month of when these deaths reported over the past two days actually occurred.
