animation is superior to live action 99% of the time but our media culture is so intent on ruining great stories with live action remakes because y’all are convinced animation “is for kids” when in reality it’s literally just a beautiful & versatile story telling medium.

if adult stories took animation more seriously instead of doing ugly south park & family guy style shows that don’t utilise the strengths of the medium, we could have gorgeous adult shows AND change this false image of animation being “only for kids”

besides, stories for kids aren’t inherently worse or have less meaningful things to say, our culture just has little respect for children’s intelligence. if you give children’s cartoons a chance you’ll see many of them are wonderful stories made by incredibly talented people.
