They fucked over LOK, whitewashed characters, and said some rude things to their fan base online back in the day. But we need to look at what is important.

Bryke promised with this ATLA that they would try their best to have an all Asian and indigenous people cast, and give better representation and outlooks on Asian and native cultures with this live action.

They accepted their mistakes in the past, and were trying to get accurate people to play the roles they desired, and didn’t want to change much to the show’s original plot. Don’t pretend that the creators of the show leaving development is a good thing because your shipping.

It’s not. We all know Netflix is going to get rid of all the representation that was supposed to be written in and write in some dumbass romance plots that will make the show suffer even more. If they don’t bring back bryke, fine, but they cannot fuck this up
