We’re here in @mayorofla’s Hollywood enforcement zone, where tons of cops, San, and LAHSA workers are forcing unhoused people to take their tents down and move.

For folks who werent present to take their tents/structures down? San destroys them.

During a fucking pandemic.

Some unhoused residents were completely unaware that a CARE+ sweep was happening today. There was no posted notice for it.

LAPD and LASAN didn’t like us filming the sweep so they positioned their trucks in an attempt to block our view. #HomesNotZones

The only posting by the city were these, advertising a shower trailer that would be up during the sweep.

Think about that.

The city is using desperately needed showers to bait people away from their property, which @mayorofla’s sweep teams are out here targeting.

Pure evil

Cops and Sanitation are giving people 10 minutes (or 15? Unclear we’ve heard them say both) to move all their belongings blocks away in the blazing heat.

The man in this tent had no idea a CARE+ sweep was happening today.
