It's interesting how many local churches & ministries are quick to partner together on feel-good projects and purport to stand for justice in some areas. But when "one of their own" is questioned & called to the mat on injustice & the covering up of abuse, crickets. 1/3
Where were these voices then? Why were so few leaders willing to take a stand in a public way? Because it's costly. When the problem is "out there," they'll shout it from the mountaintops. When it's a mega-church in your neighborhood, with lots of money/power? 2/3
And people knew. They knew & remained silent. It's been over a year. What has really changed?! It's hard to be a part of this community when I've lost respect for so many. The Church of the Greater Akron Area didn't show up. http://JusticeForSankey.com  #ccchudson 3/3
