Hello @AFCWimbledon we are ‘The Canaries’ from Atletico Morelia, a team in Morelia, Mexico that unfortunately made us descend this 2020, we believe that #afcwimbledon and @C_A_Morelia have a lot in common, I'll tell you why

This 2020 we are turning 70 years old. Canaries call us because of the yellow color and we wear a red stripe in front, which has been our hallmark over time.

In 1957 we ascended to the First Division, until 1968. In 1981 we returned to the First Division, in 2000 we were CHAMPIONS of the Mexican League, in April 2002 the IFFHS named us ‘The best team in the world’ during April.

In the decade 2001-2011 we played the ‘Copa Libertadores’ (UCL in America), we were runners-up on several occasions, in 2013 we won the Mexico's Cup and in 2014 the Mexico Super Cup

In 2015 we almost descended and with an agonizing goal in the last minute we saved ourselves from relegation to the Second Division. Watch the video

In 2019 we reached the semi-final of the tournament, we were a competitive squad, but in 2020, the owner decided to move the square to another city. Like us when Wimbledon move to Milton Keynes

Well, that's how they did with our team, being from the First Division! The fans, even with the pandemic, took to the streets to demonstrate, they took our team and left us a great pain @AFCWimbledon_BR @AFCWimb_Spain

Fortunately, a group of investors came to the city from the hand of @JLHB33 and gave the club a rebirth. The canaries returned! But now from the Second Division.

When the fans found out, they painted the walls with the team's crest throughout the city, so that now at each entrance to Morelia, there is a wall painted with the emblem of the Atlético Morelia

We want to show Mexico that we are that team with brave DNA that will return soon, just like you. We are going to unite @AFCWimbledon with @C_A_Morelia Since they both went through the same pain and thanks to their people they got ahead
