Today i was provided with printscreens from a Lebanese facebook group where members are openly advertising the sale of Ethiopian maids, this has been translated from Arabic and the lebanese members that are trying to educate the others are being blocked.

Translation of the conversation:
They are saying that when they want an Ethiopian maid they pay a-lot of money for them so of course they are going to sell them when they dont need them anymore. Because why should they give them away for free.

Discussions of human beings as if they arent human. This is how migrant workers are seen, this is why I spoke and was angered. “buying and selling” maid whoendure dehumanisation, rape and abuse then are traded back and forth between various Lebanese families that can “afford”them
The government consulate for Kenya, who is a lebanese man is telling the migrant workers to go find customers and prostitute themselves to afford the tickets home. This is the level we are at right now @AfricanUnionUN what are you doing?
@_AfricanUnion how can you be so silent when women from the diaspora are suffering. @BarrowPresident why are you so silent when Gambian women are homeless in Lebanon. Where is the accountability and responsibility a president needs to show?
@BarrowPresident you as a gambian president send your kids safe to the western world and stay silent when your citizens children are dying in Lebanon! Your silence will not protect you. Elections are coming up and the Gambian youths are tired of your slackness.
