I've been asked countless times to weigh in as a gynecologist on @cardi & WAP.

This all started with white guys angry women of color are openly discussing & proudly profiting off of their sexuality. This has ZERO to do w/ health. Any attempt to pretend otherwise is disingenuous.

But, Y'ALL, @benshapiro quaking in his boots asking his doctor wife for a diagnosis bc girls are rapping about sexual pleasure & he can't handle it is...adorable. Leave that scared little boy alone./s

White men have been profiting off of women's bodies & sexuality, all while telling them they couldn't do the same, for eternity. Now this status quo is being disrupted & people who profit off of this, either directly via money or indirectly via privilege, are feeling threatened.

Both @cardib and @theestallion are grown ass women. If they want to have sex, enjoy sex, discuss sex, AND profit off of their own sexuality and appearance (not to mention TALENT!), they have every right to do so. If you don't like it, you don't buy it. It's as easy as that.

Taking something that makes YOU uncomfortable & veiling your discomfort with disingenuous, misleading statements about health concerns is weak. And, as a physician, giving your controversial public figure husband half-baked diagnoses to fuel this fire is irresponsible.

From an actual health standpoint, vaginal discharge and lubrication is normal. Daily discharge, called physiologic leukorrhea, is normal. Lubrication when aroused is normal. Lacking discharge, particularly when aroused, is problematic & you should chat with your doc!

WAP is normal. If your WAP is experiencing itching, discomfort, burning urination, painful sex, abnormal bleeding, foul odor, etc...take your vagina to a vagina doctor. We get sickly WAPs back to happy so you can do your thing.

Pleasurable sex is good sex. You own your body. Consent is required. Carry on, @iamcardib & @theestallion .
