It is imperative to get children back to school says Gavin Williamson. I agree.
"Is there anything more that I can do in order to make that happen?" he asks.
"if there is, tell me about this, and I will go out there and I will do it"
Well, here are some suggestions.

"if there is, tell me about this, and I will go out there and I will do it"
Well, here are some suggestions.
First, there are some specific things to be done in schools like hiring more teachers/assistants and more spaces to allow for properly distanced classrooms and also provide IT to all pupils so they can work at home (you promised that ages back - what happened to that?)
Second, you must dramatically improve the test & trace system to spot and deal with any infections. That includes moving to local tried and trusted systems, paying for enough contact tracers and - especially - proving support for people to self-isolate without loss of income.
Third, and most importantly, safe reopening of schools depends on driving local infection levels down. That means more robust procedures to ensure that workplaces and public spaces don't reopen without robust COVID-Safe plans...
It means strict monitoring of spaces which are open (such as pubs) and action taken where social distancing measures are violated. It means no more measures which risk increasing infections before schools open and we can monitor the effects.
So, Mr. Williamson, there is much you can do to ensure our children get an education (rather more important, I think, than their parents getting a drink). Will you keep your promises and actually do it?
