Today has been a bit of an odyssey & it& #39;s not even noon yet!

See, I set this alarm ~4mo ago, wanting to think it over & wait until I got settled after moving, but forgot abt it

Then last week I decided to buy a lyre (ancient instrument)... & into the rabbit hole we go! /1
Turns out, there& #39;re only a few makers of genuine ancient Greek-style lyres, & they& #39;re all out of my price range, so I started looking for something more like +/-$350, to see if I& #39;ll stick w/ it, before investing in something like this lovely work of art /2

As of this morning, after spending hours searching last weekend, I was leaning toward buying the model in this picture, but was going to wait until next month.

In the meantime, I decided to go through every single video of the longest-running YouTube channel on the subject.../3
That channel is Michael Levy& #39;s (who doesn& #39;t appear to have a Twitter account. He& #39;s been making videos about things like this since **2006**.

So here& #39;s were is gets super weird... /4 https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJ1X6F7lGMEadnNETSzTv8A">https://www.youtube.com/channel/U...
So I scroll, and scroll, and scroll... until I get all the way to the very first, super bad resolution video that he posted, and...

HE& #39;S PLAYING THE SAME DAMN MODEL I& #39;M LEANING TOWARD BUYING in that video, that he made *13 years ago*.

(there& #39;s still more weirdness) /5
Earlier I messaged an old BFF going back 25 years, who happens to be a whiz w/ all stringed instruments, & w/in a fraction of a second of me opening a window to Twitter to start this thread, he responds to me about this, and this is the first tweet I see in my feed: /6
Not 2 minutes later, as I& #39;m starting to type all of this out into tweet-sized bits of text, the alarm I set four months ago goes off, and I tell my friend:

"Okay, so this is getting creepy now. I vaguely remember setting this alarm months ago...". His reply is basically: /7
