I just got a haircut and I paid $46 for it.

Most people will think I am crazy

and that it's to expensive

but something like this is invaluable to me.

A THREAD

Back in High School (I am 27 now)

I didn't really have any self care.

I wore the same sweatshirt and hat every day.

I wore stretchy Adidas pants (shout out Adidas)

and I had no desire to care about myself

and look good for anyone.

I was happy as could be, but did not realize what was left to unlock.

I went to the same Barber for 12 years (up until about 1 year ago).

After getting out of a toxic 5 year relationship

I decided that I needed to focus on myself

- Do what I enjoy
- Find where my passion is
- Lose weight
- Improve my appearance

This was important because for the first time in my life

I was putting myself first.

I decided to change up my haircut.

I always got the same length, all around, buzz cut.

I went with a new style, one that was more me.

One that would boost my self confidence and make me an unstoppable force.

The $46 is just a number.

It represents an amount that I chose to invest in myself.

The value the haircut gives me in regards to self confidence is infinite.

Once I learned to care about myself, I really started thriving.

This all started with an action and a desire.

I recognized a problem and wanted to do something to fix it.

I didn't sit back and wait for the world to rotate around me.

Instead I made the change, found new perspective, and created better habits.

Lessons Learned

- Care about yourself
- Invest in yourself (You are your biggest asset!)
- Take care of yourself
- Start now, stop waiting.

I hope you take the time and act upon something you have

been thinking of doing.

Take some risks and take chances.

You will be rewarded for your hard work, consistency, and persistence.

Be the change you want to see. Invest in yourself.
