Every snarky, sarcastic, bullshit comic in here makes me disappointed in every person I know and follow within it. I'm no longer a part of comics. Neither are some of my friends. And if you don't think this is just a cousin of the abuses that drove us out, you're wrong.

Don't come asking us for data. Don't ask us for help, don't ask us where WE UNIONIZED. Don't complain to us about how hard it is for you.

We fucking tried. We gave so much of ourselves because we cared, deeply, about you getting fair treatment and wages, and respect.

You're all still crabs in a bucket, climbing atop one another to get to the top, and all I can say is that it's fucking performative that you're "doing the work" but you don't want or think you need to talk to those with professional union connections, or research, or data.

But I'll tell you what: these flippant, dismissive comments that are rooted in cynicism and frustration, the lashing out and the declaration that our voices don't matter because we're not actively creating? It's bullshit.

And you should be ashamed.

I can even acknowledge that sometimes, some people get really angry in lieu of passionate, but those are part in parcel of one another.

How many times do we have to yell, until we're hoarse, that we're here to help, just to be smacked for it?

How many times do you think we want to see layoffs and exploitation and feel helpless, just like you, only to have our research and work tossed away? Why is your anger justifiable, but ours is not?

Anyway, you're on your own. Don't ask us for our research. Don't ask us for our contacts. Don't ask us to be on your podcasts about unions, don't ask us to talk to your exceptionally biased reporting outlets.
